I ordered a dress from Self-portrait for an event and was so excited because it looked beautiful when I tried it on. But once I actually wore it, I just kept counting down the minutes until I could take it off. The fabric started feeling scratchy quickly, and the seams under my arms were digging in all night. It did look really in photos, but comfort-wise it was such a letdown. For that price, I really expected it to feel better. I ended the night feeling disappointed more than anything.

I was surprised by how small this fit. I ordered my usual size and could barely get it on comfortably, which was annoying because I was trying it on right before heading out for coffee. Definitely size up if you're thinking about getting it

I ordered from self-portrait.com because I thought the dresses would feel special, like special special, but the style is very trend-heavy. There are so many bows, cut-outs, lace details, all the stuff that looks super “right now,” but I can’t really picture myself reaching for it a year from now.

For the price, I was expecting something a little more timeless and wearable. Instead, it feels more like outfits made for one party, one photo, one moment. They look on the site, for sure, but in person they just felt a bit overdone and not really worth it for me.

The fabric feels really nice and it does look in person. From the way it was presented, I kind of assumed it would feel a bit more premium overall, so I was a little disappointed to notice a few loose seams. It is still okay and usable, but for the price, I expected the finishing to be cleaner.

I got a dress for a wedding and it looked really nice on, like definitely dressy and put-together. But then I was thinking after, I’m not sure where else I’d wear it because it feels a little too fancy for random dinners or everyday stuff. Great if you need something for a wedding or a nicer event, just not really the kind of thing I’d grab all the time

I reached out for help and just got ignored for Days. No reply, no update, nothing. It was frustrating because I was just waiting around hoping someone would actually get back to me.

I ordered the blue dress, but when the package showed up, it was black. I even checked my confirmation email and receipt to make sure I hadn’t picked the wrong color, and it clearly says blue. Frustrating and not really okay.

I was expecting a soft pink based on the photos, but when it showed up it looked way lighter and more like a dull beige. Kinda disappointing ngl.
